    Introducing the LAGERS Cup!

We are now in our second year of the LAGERS cup. This idea was brought to us by club member Jacob Dryer (shamelessly stolen from his previous club), and it has been a great success. This lasts the whole year, with accumulating points for participation and first though third place finishes. This is a club-only competition and follows the BJCP guidelines. November Meeting

This month Evan Brill has a couple special beers to share with us. Two beers, same wort. One with Pacific Northwest hops, another with Michigan grown hops. Potential BJCP Training Class (2026?)

BJCP Training Class Important info (TLDR): LAGERS had an enormously successful BJCP training course in 2024. We are now looking to repeat this again as soon as we have enough interest. The course will be administered by Craig Gardone, with help from many other BJCP judges from the area (and maybe some special guest teachers!). The course will be $150, all of which will go towards purchasing materials for the class. We intend…

LAGERS October Meeting – Special Location!

Hey LAGERS! Hope everyone is ready for the October meeting this Monday. This month we’ll be live, on location, at Butchertown Brewing. The address is: 1860 Mellwood Ave #187, Louisville, KY 40206. Start time is 6:30 PM. Brewer/Owner Andy Cobb will give us a tour and talk to us about brewing his signature barrel aged stouts. In addition to that, we’ll still be doing all our normal stuff: BJCP feedback tastings at 6:30 (email me if you are interested in getting feedback on your beer!), eating pizza, and tasting of everyone’s homebrews! I’ll also have some announcements about next year’s…
