    Yappy Hour 2026 Sign-Up and Info

    Yappy Hour 2026 is fast approaching! This year, it will be on Saturday, October 17th. Sign-ups for brewing beer for YH are officially open. Click on the link to sign up!https://forms.gle/Hg2Cyxbr1fEYZdsK8 If you plan to brew, please read all the information below. It should answer any questions you have about participating. Below is a poster for Yappy Hour that we created, along with a link for you to download it. If you’d like, please print it off and ask a local business to hang it up! There will also be posters available at the September meeting.

    Reminders – August Meeting and LAGERS Cup Competition

    As a reminder, the August LAGERS meeting will be held on Monday, 17-Aug-2026, just after the Kentucky State Fair judging (but before the Fair actually begins). This meeting will feature the third installment of the LAGERS Cup competition – German Pils. Come out and congratulate all the LAGERS that medaled at the KSF and judge the entries in the club competition to help crown the LAGERS Cup winner for 2026.

    State Fair Drop-Off Information

    Reminder that the drop-off for State Fair Beer entries is on Wednesday 12-Aug-2026 at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center. Drop-offs begin at 10:00 AM and run through 6:00 PM at the Fairgrounds. Normal location where the South Wing meets the East Hall and North Wing. Just a little East (right) of the Freedom Hall entrance. Look for the signs. When you enter the building, look for Room 101 and you should see a sandwich board directing you from there. Judging will be on Friday evening (14-Aug-2026) and all day Saturday (15-Aug-2026).     LAGERS Cup Update: Round 2

    Congrats to Ron K for winning Round 2 of the 2026 LAGERS Cup and pulling into 1st overall. Sean S came in second place in Round 2. He is sitting at fourth overall. Nathan M came in third place in Round 2, which put him tied for second overall (with Craig M, Round 1 winner). A first place from any of the members tied for fifth at 8 points would catapult them into contention.     Reminder: June 15 Meeting & Updates

    Join LAGERS at our monthly meeting on Monday, June 15, at Akasha Brewing. Doors open at 6:30. Announcements begin at 7:00. Bring a homebrew for our monthly best beer on the table (BBOT) competition. As always, this is a great opportunity to get feedback from members. We will also be having a brewing gear show and tell. Bring some of your brewing equipment, especially anything you’ve built that makes brewing easier, cheaper, less time-consuming, higher quality or just more fun.
