Reminder that the drop-off for State Fair Beer entries is on Wednesday 12-Aug-2026 at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center. Drop-offs begin at 10:00 AM and run through 6:00 PM at the Fairgrounds. Normal location where the South Wing meets the East Hall and North Wing. Just a little East (right) of the Freedom Hall entrance. Look for the signs. When you enter the building, look for Room 101 and you should see a sandwich board directing you from there. Judging will be on Friday evening (14-Aug-2026) and all day Saturday (15-Aug-2026). Our LAGERs club will be hosting their Summer Party on Saturday, July 18, 2026. The deets: LOCATION: 105 South Front Street, Utica, IN 47130. Come straight down Mulberry Street headed East to the river – ignore Waze and Google trying to get you to turn earlier and go around the block. Feel free to pull up into the driveway for keg/food drop-offs and those mobility restricted. We can fit 6-8 cars in the driveway if you pull in nice and tight. We are now in our second year of the LAGERS cup. This idea was brought to us by club member Jacob Dryer (shamelessly stolen from his previous club), and it has been a great success. This lasts the whole year, with accumulating points for participation and first though third place finishes. This is a club-only competition and follows the BJCP guidelines. Participating members brew a different style each quarter and club members pay a dollar to vote for their favorite. Hey LAGERS! Hope everyone is ready for the October meeting this Monday. This month we’ll be live, on location, at Butchertown Brewing. The address is: 1860 Mellwood Ave #187, Louisville, KY 40206. Start time is 6:30 PM. Brewer/Owner Andy Cobb will give us a tour and talk to us about brewing his signature barrel aged stouts.
