LAGERS Club is doing a bulk apple cider buy with Wise Bird Cider Co. out of Lexington on October 1st.
This is a great opportunity to get some incredible apple cider from an award-winning cidery. We don’t plan on doing any sort of competition around it this time, but it’s something the LAGERS officers may explore in the future!

LAGERS will be doing a bulk cider buy from Wise Bird Cider Co. in Lexington on Thursday, October 1st, from 5 to 8:00 p.m. My plan is to go up myself, and I can bring back cider for several people, as long as you can drop off your vessel at my house on 9/29-30 (all day) or 10/1 (morning) and pick it up on 10/2 or 10/3 (all day). So you will not need to go to Lexington to order, but we’ll plan a short gathering up there for those who can attend.
You will need to provide your own sanitized vessel to collect the juice. This can be a carboy, keg, etc.
You can purchase as little as one gallon and up to 25 gallons.
The juice will be a blend of different apples. They don’t always know the apple varieties.
Price is $8/gallon.
The juice is unpasteurized, so you’ll want to pitch yeast as soon as possible after you receive it.
You must be a dues-paying member of LAGERS to participate in this bulk buy.
