The 7th annual Yappy Hour event at Apocalypse Brew Works, Friday September 20th, features more than 30 beers to benefit the Kentucky Humane Society. Sample beers from 15 plus award-winning homebrewers and a full line up of Apocalypse Brew Works favorites. Dogs on leashes are welcome. Hot Buns food truck and dog treats will be available.
In addition to Fallout Dust, Atomic Amber and Apollo IPA from Apocalypse you can enjoy beers like Holy Cannoli, Maui ChiWowie and All Tea Lemon Chamomile Farmhouse Ale brewed special for this event by some of the area’s most accomplished home brewers. The Lagers Homebrew Club, Brewgrass Homebrew Supply and Apocalypse are combining to bring some of the most unique tastes to the Louisville beer scene.
It is all for a good cause. The Kentucky Humane Society is Kentucky’s largest pet adoption agency and a leading champion for animals by providing proactive solutions and creating more compassionate communities. Last year KHS helped adopt over 6000 cats, dogs and horses in Kentuckiana.
Yappy Hour is September 20, 2019 from 6:00 pm through 10:00 pm. Each $3.00 donation is worth a 9oz beer. There is limited supply of these one-time brews so when they are gone, they are truly “doggone” gone!
Lagers (Louisville Area Grain & Extract Research Society) Homebrew Club was established in 1989 in Louisville by a group of home brewers. The club promotes all aspects of brewing through regular meetings, events and community outreach including managing the Kentucky State Fair competition.
