Reminder that the drop-off for State Fair Beer entries is on Wednesday 12-Aug-2026 at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center. Drop-offs begin at 10:00 AM and run through 6:00 PM at the Fairgrounds. Normal location where the South Wing meets the East Hall and North Wing. Just a little East (right) of the Freedom Hall entrance. Look for the signs. When you enter the building, look for Room 101 and you should see a sandwich board directing you from there. Judging will be on Friday evening (14-Aug-2026) and all day Saturday (15-Aug-2026). The 7th annual Yappy Hour event at Apocalypse Brew Works, Friday September 20th, features more than 30 beers to benefit the Kentucky Humane Society. Sample beers from 15 plus award-winning homebrewers and a full line up of Apocalypse Brew Works favorites. Dogs on leashes are welcome. Hot Buns food truck and dog treats will be available. Head Brewer JD Vasher is introducing more German style beers to the Bardstown road brewery. He recently collaborated with Jason Rosenberger to brew a traditional Marzen style Oktoberfest beer.
