This month we will be meeting at Akasha on Monday the 20th at 7 PM! This time, Craig Gardone has offered to share some best practices on bottling beers, both bottle conditioning and from a keg. We look forward to seeing you all there!
Yappy Hour is almost here! Come join us on Saturday, September 25th at Apocalypse Brew Works, where we will listen to music, eat food, and drink beers brewed by our club members and fermented by Apocalypse. All proceeds go to the Kentucky Humane Society. We need a few more volunteers, so if you’re interested in helping please sign up here. We look forward to seeing you!
We have 5 more spots open in this year’s advent calendar beer exchange. We typically reserve spots for previous participants so this is your chance to get in on one of my favorite events of the year. If you’re not familiar, it was started by our very own Spencer Guy a few years ago and the tradition has carried on every year. There are 24 brewers, each submitting a case of 24 of their own homebrewed beer/cider/wine/mead. We exchange the beers during a swap event in November where everyone that participates walks out with a case of 24 unique beers. Every day, starting December 1st, we open the same beer on the beer advent calendar. We drink it and talk about it. There’s also prizes handed out for best beer and best label. If you’re interested, please reach out to Greg Butorin at lagersclub@gmail.com.
