The American Homebrewers Association wrapped up the 46th year of Homebrew Con in Asheville, NC. The last day was the culmination of the judging for the NHC and the awards ceremony.
We are proud to announce that two LAGERs brought home gold medals. Alex Rezmerski won in the Strong European Ale category for a Pale Dopplebock and Craig Martin won with his California Common in the American Brown category. Congratulations to both of these brewers. These were both large categories, and in the finals you are already up against other proven brewers, so to win is a huge accomplishment. Great job, and we need to get even more entries out there for next year.
Asheville was a great city to host this year’s event. There was no shortage of great beers everywhere you turned. Friday night featured a club night where we paired with the BOCKs of Lexington to host a racing themed starting gate. Location for the next Homebrew Con has not yet been announced, so stay tuned and consider attending next year.
