If you’ve been following our announcements during the previous meetings, you will know that we were targeting July to be our first in person meeting at Akasha. However, there is a slight change of plans. We will still be meeting in person but we will plan on having this meeting outdoors at a new venue.
We’re very excited to announce that Tun Tavern Hops will be hosting us Thursday, July 16th from 7:00 – 9:00 PM on their hop farm to tell us all about growing hops, harvesting, hop varietals, and more! August is harvesting season so we will get to see a very full farm with plenty of cones growing on the bines. Tun Tavern Hops is a local hop farm that specializes in supplying local craft breweries all over the region with fresh whole cone hops. You may have even tried beers made with their hops without realizing it. They proudly produce multiple varieties such as Chinook, Cascade, Tea Maker, Centennial, Magnum, Hallertau, Soriachi Ace and Tettnanger. We’ll get a chance to reserve some hops in time for their August harvest so keep that in mind! All hops come with analytical analysis and moisture content.

Please be careful turning off 31W (Dixie hwy) as it is a high speed stretch.
Please bring your masks, a lawn chair to sit on, and some water.
We will not be sharing beer during this meeting so please do not bring any homebrew to share. If you wish to bring Michael, the owner, a bottle of your brew as thanks for hosting, you are welcome and encouraged to do so.
