    So Many Doggone Different Beers To Choose From

    The 7th annual Yappy Hour event at Apocalypse Brew Works, Friday September 20th, features more than 30 beers to benefit the Kentucky Humane Society. Sample beers from 15 plus award-winning homebrewers and a full line up of Apocalypse Brew Works favorites. Dogs on leashes are welcome. Hot Buns food truck and dog treats will be available. In addition to Fallout Dust, Atomic Amber and Apollo IPA from Apocalypse you can enjoy beers like Holy Cannoli, Maui ChiWowie and All Tea Lemon Chamomile Farmhouse Ale brewed special for this event by some of the area’s most accomplished home brewers.     YAPPY HOUR BREW-IN AT APOCALYPSE BREW WORKS – AUGUST 19TH

    Hey LAGERS! It’s that time of year again. Time to submit what you want to brew for Yappy Hour! For those who are new to the Club, Yappy Hour is our annual charity event with Apocalypse Brew Works to raise money for the Kentucky Humane Society. It is also our big opportunity to highlight homebrewing and the LAGERS club. Essentially, the idea is that we host a brew-in with ABW in August (August 19th this year) where Club members can brew any recipe they want on premise.     February 20 Meeting – Sensory Evaluation in Bourbon Tasting

    Due to a schedule conflict the date and location for our February meeting has changed!!!!! The February Meeting will be on Tuesday, February 20th at the Jim Miller Wedding Chapel and Reception Hall (where we had our Holiday Party).     Lots of Hops May Be Involved

    February 7th tapping of Evan Brill’s winning IPA at Gordon Biersch Brewery.  In the fifth annual Lagers Homebrew Club competition at Gordon Biersch Head Brewer, Nicholas Landers challenged the brewers to bring him a hoppy beer.  Known by most as the “King of Hops”, Evan Brill recently had the opportunity to see how many pounds of hops he could put through the downtown brewery.  All you hop heads will want to taste this massive IPA.  Nicholas Landers also promises we will see Evan in a wonderful winner sash.
