The 7th annual Yappy Hour event at Apocalypse Brew Works, Friday September 20th, features more than 30 beers to benefit the Kentucky Humane Society. Sample beers from 15 plus award-winning homebrewers and a full line up of Apocalypse Brew Works favorites. Dogs on leashes are welcome. Hot Buns food truck and dog treats will be available. Hey LAGERS! It’s that time of year again. Time to submit what you want to brew for Yappy Hour! For those who are new to the Club, Yappy Hour is our annual charity event with Apocalypse Brew Works to raise money for the Kentucky Humane Society. It is also our big opportunity to highlight homebrewing and the LAGERS club. Armando Barajas brewed the Official 2018 Tailspin Ale, Gimme S’More, with Leah Dienes at Apocalypse Brew Works. This traditional Dunkelweizen is flavored with cinnamon and vanilla that gives it a little toasted marshmallow taste. Campfire here we come. The fifth annual Tailspin Ale Fest will fly into operation February 17 at Bowman Field with 75 breweries, bands, music and happy people. Armando’s Gimme S’more was selected this year from dozens of Lagers Homebrew Club entries, vying for the opportunity to brew on a large commercial system and share their beer at the Tailspin Ale Fest.
