Head Brewer JD Vasher is introducing more German style beers to the Bardstown road brewery. He recently collaborated with Jason Rosenberger to brew a traditional Marzen style Oktoberfest beer. With loads of Munich malt and just the right amount of noble hops. Tapping expected in mid September. Watch end of video for director bonus: JD Smiles.

We are having our second ever Cumberland Brew-Off where the winner gets to brew their beer with Justin Vasher at Cumberland Brewery. We’ll have a tasting party for all family and club members once it’s tapped. The spirit of the competition is to brew something English, Scottish, or Irish that can be drank over multiple pints. BJCP categories 11 through 17 are eligible to be entered with an original gravity limit of 1.100. Each Brewer can enter up to two (2) entries. Do you like craft beer? Do you brew your own beer? Have you ever considered helping out by judging beer at homebrew competitions?!?! The LAGERS homebrew club is presenting an Introduction to the BJCP, the Beer Judge Certrification Program, led by National Ranked judge Chuck Harp on July 15th at 7pm. Come learn a little bit about becoming a beer judge and helping judge at the KY State Fair Homebrew Competition, as well as about homebrewing in general. Doors open at 7pm, and the educational session begins at 7:30pm.
