    July 2019 Meeting– Introduction to the BJCP with Chuck Harp

    Do you like craft beer? Do you brew your own beer? Have you ever considered helping out by judging beer at homebrew competitions?!?! The LAGERS homebrew club is presenting an Introduction to the BJCP, the Beer Judge Certrification Program, led by National Ranked judge Chuck Harp on July 15th at 7pm. Come learn a little bit about becoming a beer judge and helping judge at the KY State Fair Homebrew Competition, as well as about homebrewing in general. Doors open at 7pm, and the educational session begins at 7:30pm.

    2019 Yappy Hour Brew In!!!  Sunday August 4th at Apocalypse!

    Are you interested in learning how to brew beer at home? If so, then you don’t want to miss this event. LAGERS homebrew club is hosting a learn-to-brew event with Brewgrass Homebrew Supply at Apocalypse brew works on August 4th from 8am to 2pm. Come out and learn how to make your own homebrew. We will walk you through several demonstrations of both all-grain and extract brewing, plus you will get to taste the beer you made with us at Yappy Hour at Apocalypse on September 20th!     May Meeting Contest Winner — Evan Brill’s German Pilsner

    Good evening LAGERS! I’d like to share the winning recipe from our May meeting homebrew contest.  Evan Brill was the winner with his excellent German Pilsner.  I hope everyone who attended had a chance to try this beer! Evan will be presenting more about how to brew this style in our June monthly meeting, but for now we’d like to share his winning recipe.
