    The annual de-throne Evan Brill competition (Gordon Biersch brew-off)

    We are having our sixth annual Gordon Biersch Brew-Off. The spirit of the competition is to brew something dark. Stouts is the name of the game. Please be mindful that the winning beer needs to be clean, easy drinking, and must sell in the taproom. Your jalapeno infused barrel aged 20% double imperial stout is not likely to win. Entries will be due at the taproom by January 3rd and the winner will be announced at the following LAGERS meeting.     October 21st, we will be hosted once more by Akasha Brewing Co. This month, Sarah Popko, our resident sensory scientist, will dive deep into the world of non-alcoholic fermentation.     So Many Doggone Different Beers To Choose From

    The 7th annual Yappy Hour event at Apocalypse Brew Works, Friday September 20th, features more than 30 beers to benefit the Kentucky Humane Society. Sample beers from 15 plus award-winning homebrewers and a full line up of Apocalypse Brew Works favorites. Dogs on leashes are welcome. Hot Buns food truck and dog treats will be available.
