Hey LAGERS! It’s been a minute! I don’t know about you, but I get enough Zoom meetings at work, so I’m excited to announce that LAGERS will be back in person for our March meeting on 3/21 at Akasha. We’re still finalizing the topic of discussion (I’ll post on Facebook and send out an email when it’s confirmed), but we’ll have our monthly ‘best beer’ competition, so plan on bringing a few bottles of your best brews. News We still plan on having our ‘holiday’ party at Ten20 Brewing. The date will be set soon so keep an eye out…

We have decided to make January’s meeting virtual because of the uptick in COVID cases. The Zoom info will be at the bottom of this post. This month Greg Butorin will be taking us through how to do a closed transfer from fermentation vessel to keg. There are several benefits to a closed transfer, namely the prevention of oxygen ingress. Watch along as Greg takes us through the necessary equipment and steps to achieve a closed transfer. Upcoming Events January 17th – Monthly LAGERS Meeting (Virtual) February 12th – All American Home Brew Competition – Cincinnati, OH December 13th Meeting Recap We had our December meeting a week early because of the holidays. Good turnout, especially of homebrew! Several people brought more than one brew and there was lots of good beer to go around. We also had our white elephant gift exchange, which, to no one’s surprise, included a lot of beer. This year’s Yappy hour was a rousing success.
