Join LAGERS at our next meeting on May 19 at Akasha Brewing Company. LAGERS member Alex Rezmerski will discuss the impact of pH across the brewing process (mash, boil, fermentation) with a special focus on finished beer. Alex’s presentation will include a tasting of a beer adjusted to different pH’s. June 16 Meeting: LAGERS Cup Join LAGERS at the second round of the 2025 LAGERS Cup on June 16. This quarter’s category is “honey.” Beer submitted must use honey as an adjunct. If you are entering a beer, please remember to save 64oz of it for next month!

Hi All! Just a quick reminder that we have a meeting tomorrow, 6:30 pm, at Akasha Brewing. In addition to our normal socializing and homebrew tasting, we’ll also have a presentation on mead!

This month Evan Brill has a couple special beers to share with us. Two beers, same wort. One with Pacific Northwest hops, another with Michigan grown hops. We’ve all heard the hype about MI hops, come see if they live up to it! I think we’ll also have Rick from Malteurop in to talk about Malteurop malts. Malteurop has a strong presence in Louisville and many of our professional brewers use his malt. From what I’ve heard, Rick is a wealth of knowledge on malt, so come ready with questions.
