Coffee, it’s one of the most often used ingredients to add flavor to beer. It’s used in award winning beers and compliments many styles of beer, most notably stouts. A plethora of world class commercial beers use it to add complexity such as Founder’s KBS, Perennial’s Sump, and Akasha’s Brain Check. It’s selection, however, is often overlooked by brewers as it can often be as complex in it’s variety as beer. This month we are very excited to welcome Gintaras Kuzma of Busted Bean Coffee to come talk to us about the nuances of coffee. From selecting the origin, roasting process, and flavor profiles, Gintaras will shows us what to look for when selecting a coffee to pair with you beer.
