The bulk grain buy is in! Pick up your grain at Apocalypse Brew Works this Sunday, June 14th from 3pm to 5 pm. Your friendly LAGERS officers will load it directly into your trunk in order to minimize contact.

Although the Kentucky State Fair is still happening, all general and non-livestock competition submissions are officially cancelled for 2020. We’re working on something fun for this summer to make up for it.

The officer election results are in! Jason Rosenberger is stepping down, and Robert Curtin will be the new club Secretary. The rest of your officers remain the same; with Greg Butorin as president, Brandon Schaefer as Vice President, and Sarah Popko as Treasurer.

We’ll kick off by the meeting by sharing what we’re drinking, and catching up.

This month we are all very excited to welcome Kristy Holsopple to come talk to us! She is the owner, quality manager, and yeast whisperer at Holsopple Brewing Co. and a full time scientist at Brown-Forman. Kristy brings us a wealth of knowledge from her education in biology and career experiences as a microbiologist at Sam Adams and quality control specialist at Miller Coors just to name a few.  You’ll be sure to learn plenty about yeast quality and management from Kristy. Don’t forget to come prepared with any questions you have on yeast, because Kristy might just be the best person in town to ask.
